Confidentiality & Privacy Policy

 

The law protects the relationship between client and psychotherapist, and information cannot be disclosed without written permission from client or client’s guardian/representative.

Exceptions for which we are required by law to report to the appropriate authorities immediately include:​​

1. When there is suspected child abuse, dependent adult abuse, and/or elderly abuse.

2. When client verbalizes intent/plan  to cause serious bodily harm to another person/s.

3. When a client verbalizes intent to harm himself or herself, every effort will be made to enlist their cooperation in ensuring their safety. If he/she does not cooperate further action will be taken.
